01Who receives what you enter

Your report goes to the service company whose name is on the page. That company decides about your data and is your point of contact.

We only run the software and process what you enter on that company's behalf. We use it for nothing else.

02What happens when you scan

We record that this label was scanned, when, in which language, and whether from a phone or a computer. Your IP address is not stored. The service company can see which machines are being used, not who is standing in front of one.

03What you give voluntarily

Only the description of the problem is required. Name, e-mail address and telephone number are optional.

Without contact details, though, the company cannot get back to you – that is the only reason it is asked for.

04Photos

Photos you attach are scanned for malware, reduced in size and stripped of location data held in the image. They are visible only to the service company.

05How long it is kept

Photos and attachments are deleted after 24 months. Closed reports are kept for five years because they are the evidence in a warranty case. After that they are deleted.

06No cookies that watch you

There are no analytics cookies and no advertising networks on these pages. That is why you see no cookie banner. The only strictly necessary parts are the protection against automated requests and your choice of language.

07Your rights

You can ask the service company for access to your data, for a correction, or for deletion. If a report is deleted, your contact details are removed; the trail remains as anonymous evidence.

Please contact the service company named on the equipment page first. If you cannot reach them, write to us at the address in the imprint and we will pass your request on.
